Caitlin Cocco earned her BA from the University of Mary Washington, a Post-Baccalaureate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, and is currently finishing up her MFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts. Color and material are the most essential aspects of her work. By using a faux fleshy peach tone color and paint as her medium she tends to blur the boundaries of painting, drawing, sculpture, and performance. Through her work, she investigates ideas surrounding the body from loss and desire, absence and presence, relationships, intimacy, and comfort. You can view her work at www.caitlincocco.tumblr.com.
